Community Service Needs

If you are looking to fulfill your community hours, we are in need of some hosts and helpers for pool opening activities (clean-up and preparation), as well as kids' parties (both day and evening), Club Grilles, Family Parties and any other Social Events you as members would like to see at the pool. Please call Liz Potter at 730-3881 in order to earn your hours and receive your Community Service Fee back at the end of the year.

Many Members comment on how beautiful the pool and surroundings look each summer – Did you know it’s the Members who contribute over 1000 volunteer hours to open, maintain and close the pool complex each year?

We have an operating budget of $60,000 with just over $40,000 coming from Membership. Unlike public pools, we do not receive any funding from the Township or State so the balance is primary reached by the fund-raising events along with those members who wish to financially contribute or fulfill community hours in order to cut expenses. Both aspects are essential for the ICRC to remain the organization we have all come to enjoy.

We rely on the many talents and donations from the membership including equipment rental, discounts on products or services as well as labor including small repairs and regular maintenance, landscaping, cleaning and set up. We are also looking for Members to coordinate and assist with all of the fund-raising events including all Holiday Parties, Adult, Family and Kids’ Parties, Club Grilles, Dive-In Movies, Sundaes on Sunday or any new event the Members are interested in considering. See our ‘Calendar’ for more information. In order to keep membership rates where they are today, we need your help!

Please refer to the Back Page of your Membership Application where you can let us know of your preferences and we’ll do our best to accommodate. The $48.00 Community Service Fee must be included with to your Membership fee to be considered.

This will be FULLY REFUNDABLE at the end of the pool season should your family contribute a minimum of 6 community service hours toward ICRC sponsored events. Children are most welcome to help, but the 6 hours need to be fulfilled by adults.

Please remember, we are only asking for 6 however, we’d appreciate your consideration for at least 10-15. We estimate that approximately half will contribute financially and the other half through community service hours, which equates to about 13 hours needed from each family.
